The Littlest Picketer!

Today was our district's day to be out on rotating strikes for this latest round of job action. Even though I am still off on mat leave, I wanted to show my support for my colleagues. Everly and I
went up to Cumberland Elementary to walk the picket line!

New Foods!

We have started to give Everly some tastes of some "solid" foods. She has tried banana, yogurt and cucumber so far. Each time I give her a taste, she gets the funniest face. Sometimes it seems like she hates it and others it seems like she likes it! This is going to be funny to watch over the next few months as she tries more and more new things!

Exersaucer

Everly has really started to love being in her exersaucer recently! She now has learned that it bounces along with all the toys to play with! She spins the seat around to get to all the different toys!

 

 

Sleeping Beauty!

We have been so blessed with Everly's sleeping! She has always been a great sleeper and has slept through the night since she was 7.5 weeks old! Some nights she likes to have dance parties in the middle of the night... but those nights are not very often so they are not as difficult to deal with. I am grateful that I haven't really experienced the "sleep deprived mama" state too much!

 

Grocery Shopping

Grocery shopping is something that Ev and I do on a regular basis. I decided to try her out in the "big girl" part of the cart... she is still too small for it so I had to steady her for most of the ride, but she LOVED it !

 

Lawn Mowing

Now that the weather has gotten warm and sunny, lawn mowing season is upon us. Considering we have so much lawn that it takes up to 6 hours to mow it all, I knew there would be times that Everly would have to ride on the mower with me in order for it all to get done. I wanted to make sure the noise of the mower didn't affect her hearing so I bought her these cute baby earmuffs! She didn't seem to mind wearing them either!

 

Littlest Bulldog!

I am very excited that I get to play ball again this year! It was a hard year last year, sitting on the bench keeping score! Ha! The team that I coach is named the Bulldogs. Everly, being our number one fan, needed a jersey too!

 

Happy Mother's Day

It has been a LONG journey to get here... but, here we are! My very first Mother's Day! I can't believe that we have this beautiful little girl and I definitely can't imagine my life without her! I am going to drink in this whole day to celebrate the fact that I am finally a mother to the most precious little girl anyone could ever ask for!

5 Months Old!!!

We can't believe that Everly is already 5 months old! Where has the time gone? It has been absolutely amazing to watch her grow and develop into a sweet little girl! She loves to smile and "talk" with everybody around her. She is a very calm natured, observant baby! Watching her surroundings keeps her very entertained! She now weighs 13 lbs 10 oz and is 25 inches long! Happily screaming like a pterodactyl is her new favourite hobby, she especially likes to do it early in the morning!! Her feet are also very interesting to her. She is constantly grabbing them and trying to pull them up to her mouth... luckily, she hasn't succeeded... yet! Darren and I are madly in love with this little miracle!
